Attending the FD weekend (3 times) was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life and I highly recommend it for those that want a stronger relationship with their daughter or daughters. Love does truly conquer all and that’s evident on the weekend. It just takes one simple choice to experience and share this love with, the most precious gift in life, our daughters.

My name is Allison and I have been to two father daughter weekends, both were amazing. The first one I went to I was 8 years old and I loved it, especially the trust walk and twizzles. When I went the last time, it was just as fun. I am closer to my dad and I can’t wait till the next one.

My dad and I have been going to father daughter weekend since i was 9-10 and I’m now 17. As I grew up and was able to understand more, I began to take so much more from it and I always have been very grateful for each experience.
We’ve continued using what we’ve learned and expanded on throughout the weekend over the last 7 years and it has helped us maintain our close relationship and help us grow as a father daughter pair.

For anybody “on the fence” about attending with their daughter(s), I went last year with my 12 year old and it was an amazing weekend that took our relationship to another level. I can’t wait to get back there and neither can she!

My bond with my daughter was strengthened significantly through the time we spent together on this weekend. We laughed and cried with each other and other fathers and daughters.
I learned things about my daughter, how she thinks and feels about things, that I did not know before and likely would not have discovered without the work we did, and the wonderful staff support we received on this weekend. We keep coming back each Summer and learn more! I highly recommend this for any father who wants to connect on a deeper level with his daughter.

Father Daughter Weekend has been a huge resource in my relationship with my daughter. Even though we live together full time, we still get wrapped up in our day to day lives which often shadows our intent to enrich the bond we share as a unique little family of 2. The weekend allows us to put everything else aside, and focus on ourselves individually and together.
The intent of focusing on our bond in itself strengthens our foundation of togetherness when things start to go off the rails. We can always look back and revisit our commitments to each other which is an amazing fall back when things get rough, as they always do in every family.
Father Daughter Weekend is fun and playful as it is challenging and deep. I fully recommend the experience for all Dads out there. Faughter Daughter Weekend is a priceless adventure and the location at Land of My Grandfathers is a sacred place of peace and tranquility.

How It All Started
In 2010, when my daughter was twelve, we attended a Father and Daughter retreat in New York. It gave me an opportunity to listen to my daughter in a way I had not in the past. I heard some things that I did not like, but were true, and gave me a different perspective as a father.
This experience allowed me to truly know who my daughter and I was moved. I made it my mission to do Father Daughter weekends in Texas. In 2011, we had our first weekend, and have continued on since then. I am incredibly proud of the work that we do on these weekends and have heard time and time again how the weekend has changed lives and enriched the father daughter relationship. Please join us and make your relationship with your dad or daughter all that it can be.
