About The Father Daughter Weekend

The Father Daughter Weekend is a chance for you and your daughter(s) to bond, play, grow, connect and talk openly and honestly about your relations. It’s a chance for fathers to connect with other fathers for support and for daughters connect with each other.

Activities are designed to push each Father Daughter pair to grow & enrich their relationship. There are separate activities for older and younger daughters, age 13 being the general age line. The weekend gives each of you a chance to play & connect and be with others Dads & daughters in a safe setting. There are playful creative activities games, challenging connecting activities, and time for dads to connect with other Dads and daughters to connect with other daughters. Ages 10 through adult are welcome and we have seen amazing transformations in relationships of all ages.

The Father Daughter Texas Mission And Who Should Attend

Our Mission

Father Daughter Texas is a 501 (C)3 Non- Profit Organization. Our mission is to enrich, heal, and strengthen the father and daughter relationship through training, connection, and shared experiences.

Who Should Attend?
Open to all daughters ages 10 through adult. In the past, we have had daughters of all ages including Teens, 20’s 30’s, 40’s, & 50’s ! Open to all dads, step-dads, surrogate fathers, father figures, etc!

How It All Started

In 2010, when my daughter was twelve, we attended a Father-Daughter retreat in New York. It gave me an opportunity to listen to my daughter in a way I had not in the past. I heard some things that I did not like, but were true, and gave me a different perspective as a father.

This experience allowed me to truly know who my daughter and I was moved. I made it my mission to do Father Daughter weekends in Texas. In 2011, we had our first weekend, and have continued on since then. I am incredibly proud of the work that we do on these weekends and have heard time and time again how the weekend has changed lives and enriched the father daughter relationship. Please join us and make your relationship with your dad or daughter all that it can be.

Our Training And Schedule

Our trainings start on Friday evening and go through Sunday afternoon.

They include fun, light activities and challenging ones to improve father-daughter bonds.

Girls aged 10 and older can join.

Adult daughters are encouraged to participate and play a key role.

Younger daughters (ages 10–13) are grouped separately from older ones when needed.

The trainings take place at a retreat center near Madisonville, Texas.

Meals and lodging are included!
